In this section I will explain how to install and configure the most common web server (Apache) and a servlet container (Tomcat).

Both of them are free and open source; you can download them from Internet: take care to read the Apache Software License.

If you want to know more information about these applications I suggest you to visit their official sites. It is possible to download them both for Windows and for Linux platforms; moreover you can choose between the binary and the source code version.
